Melt Cosmetics order

I have now finally fully completed my current collection of Melt Cosmetics lipsticks. Developed by Lora Arellano and Dana Bomar, both amazing MAC Cosmetics Pro artist’s piled together to create this amazing company. As you may have seen in a previous post, I have already done prior shopping with Melt Cosmetics and gained eight beautiful shades of theirs. For fall/winter of 2014, they released their limited edition shade named Dark Room, which I will get to in a moment. Since I was planning to make a purchase of their limited edition shade, it occurred to me that I was so close to having the complete collection of all shades at the current moment, so why not pick up the others? Well yes, that is what ended up happening to me.

Now you’re probably wondering, what is Dark Room? Dark Room is the name of the limited edition that Lora and Dana created in honor of Lora’s signature lip with her beau, now husband Solgr. Dark Room is a beautiful shade that is described as a deep beet color, composed of red and purple undertones. It is a gorgeous shade for fall and should always be paired with a nice lip liner in the similar color wheel. This limited edition shade is found in beautiful cool toned gray and black packaging unlike the black and purple standard packaging.

With picking up two of the limited edition shade, I knew that I might as well finish the collection since i’m so close. The next colors that I picked up were Belladonna 2, Summer and Bane. Belladonna 2 is described as a classic red with a pink undertone. Summer is a gorgeous soft creamsicle orange shade. Bane is a deep jet black shade. Images of the shades are below.

Now that their lipstick collection is in my hands, I have to wait patiently for the eye shadows stacks to release. For the company, I’ve been truly in love with all of their products. The quality of their products is amazing and if you have not tried, I highly recommend you check them out! Also be on the lookout for releases coming soon from them!

Iluvsarahii Face2Face Seminar in San Jose, California

June 8th was the second stop on Iluvsarahii’s first make up seminar titled Face2Face. I was lucky to gain this day off in advance so that I could attend this make up seminar. If you are not familiar, Iluvsarahii is a make up artist whose only social media platform is Instagram. On Instagram, she has over 322K followers and her images and videos are flawless. Even though I think she should have more platforms, this busy MUA is taking time off her main job of beating faces to teaching a classroom full of ladies her techniques. She thoroughly demonstrated dewy skin, lashes, winged liner, day looks, smokey looks and order of application.

The picture above truly doesn’t do justice but her application was stunning. As a make up artist myself, I knew and understood every step that she took during application. The only comment that I had is that she did not prep either of her clients with eye cream, instead one with Photo Finish from Smashbox and the other with facial moisturizer. With that being said, I do wonder the wear time for the under eye on each of her clients. I understand how important and essential eye cream is so that’s why I was shocked.

I would have to say that a big portion of this class that I enjoyed was highlighting and contouring. Because she used cream products rather than powder, I got to truly see first hand how beautiful it looked.  Seeing how harsh it was and then blended to softness in minutes was truly inspiring. I usually contour and highlight with powders but now I am going to take a second look for cream products. Cream also will truly help my drier skin with longevity as well.  Looks like I gotta get new products in my current rotation or find products that I enjoy using on myself and on clients.

Overall, a lot of information in this class was reassurance for myself. I found myself answering the questions she proposed and explaining why she chose those shades over others. This is all thanks to having my background in makeup and being an make up artist myself.  My attendance at this seminar was fun and well worth the commute to San Jose. Her tour was sponsored by so many amazing brands such as, Dose of Colors, Tarte, Beauty Blender, Ardell Lashes, Flutter lashes, Morphe Brushes and Vera Mona. The gratis bag at the end of the seminar was worth over $130, so it was well worth going! I gained her all time favorite products and well as learned how to use them since she demonstrated each one on her clients. Some of these products I’ve already owned and are familiar with whereas there are some that I am glad are being added to my collection.  Thank you so much Iluvsarahii for having this make up seminar and it was a pleasure meeting you!!

Melt Cosmetics review

What happens when you put two MAC pro artist’s together with creative minds? The answer is simply MELT Cosmetics. Founders and co-owners Lora Arellano ( and Dana Bomar ( created these ultra-matte lipsticks with vibrant colors. Oh and did I mention? Lora is Rihanna’s makeup artist!! Not only are these lipsticks 100% vegan, cruelty free, gluten and paraben free, each lipstick has the scent of vanilla cake too! From this collection, I now own a total of nine of their lipsticks. The first order I purchased seven lipsticks and my second purchase was two. The colors that I own are Darling, By starlight, Shady lady, Stupid love, Bang Bang, 6six6, DGAF, Space cake and Blow. The colors that I do not own is Belladonna, Belladonna 2, Bane and Summer. Each lipstick is $19 which is higher then I would typically like to spend however you have to pay for good quality.

These lipsticks are a retro-matte finish, so taking proper care of you lips before hand is key. I would highly recommend exfoliating, moisturizing, blotting excess moisture, lining and then applying the lipstick.  These lipsticks are a semi-long wear as long as you don’t have to much activity with your mouth such as eating and salivating. If you’re not sure what lip liners to pair these amazing lipsticks with, both Lora and Dana provide a multiplicity of MAC lip liner options on their website. These lipsticks can settle into the fine lines after hours of wear, but just throw on a lip gloss for added hydration and disappearance of lines.

When applying these lipsticks, they are buttery enough so that they do not tug on the lips when applying. However they dry down to a dry finish because of the matte finish.  The pigment in these lipsticks is ridiculously amazing. When wearing these lipsticks, no one should feel the need to layer another color to intensify the look. Packaging wise, these lipsticks are all matte black with the simple purple Melt logo down the side of the product. The name can be found on the bottom noted with a sticker like most lipsticks. There is no color indication on their packaging so for storage purposes maybe store upside down to easily grab your desired shade.

Melt Cosmetics is only currently available on their website, When ordering the lipsticks, standard shipping fee is applied. However on my first order, since i’m on their newsletter, they offered a free shipping code if your purchase was over $100. Their shipping is super fast, I remembered ordering on a Tuesday and I got my products no later than Friday! Now let’s see what they look like! These are going to be close up shots of the lipsticks. With this, you can clearly see which ones i’m currently loving.

Shady lady is described as medium cool toned magenta. This lipstick contains a slight sheen to it but very unnoticeable after it dries down to the ultra-matte finish. I feel anyone could truly wear this lipstick, especially in the summer time or warmer parts of the year. This color can be worn as a statement piece or you could sheer it out in order to make it work with other facial makeup.

Shady lady is described as bright dark fuchsia. This color can be worn for medium pay off after 1-2 swipes on the lips as well as being intensified with another layer or dabbing in the center of the lips. When I first wore this, a little bit really went the longest way. I believe because the pigment is so intense, that it allows you to build this lipstick to the intensity of your desire.

Oh Darling! Darling is described as a cool toned lavender pink. These creamy lipstick applies beautifully to the lips with much ease. Because this is a lighter shade, i’m not sure that it would work on every complexion because it may look chalky on darker skin complexions. Unless properly paired with a good matching liner, this color could be unflattering on some skin complexions.

Meet 6six6, one of the most current popular lipsticks from Melt Cosmetics. 6six6 is described as a cool deep merlot red. When I wear this shade, you can definitely see the brown come out. This shade truly gives you an opaque lip color in seconds. If you feel the need to intensify this shade, even though it’s powerful on it’s own, I recommend Nightmouth lip pencil from MAC or Black Dahlia cosmetic color pencil from OCC.

Oh how I love By Starlight! By Starlight is described as a cool toned medium/dark purple. I love layering this color to get full opaque deep purple lips. This was one of the first shades that I was super eager to get my hands on. Since purple is the color of 2014, I can see this shade being sold out constantly.

Don’t you ever want to channel your inner alien? Melt Cosmetics does and they made a lipstick just for that. Space Cake is described as a cool toned gray with blue undertones. This color looks exactly like it does in the tube once you apply it on your lips. I can truly say that I haven’t seen any other lipsticks this specific shade before in my life.

Do you give a fuck? Obviously Melt cosmetics doesn’t. DGAF is described as a dark cool toned blue. This lipstick is dark enough that it can truly play well on any complexion. Out of all the lipsticks that I have from Melt, I’ll admit that this shade is the most drying. I’ve found myself dabbing on the center of my lips throughout the day to keep the intensity going. Now I have another blue lipstick to add to my collection alongside OCC RX and Pool boy.

I’ve always had soft oranges and creme’s with a hint of orange, but nothing as powerful as this. Bang Bang is described as a warm bright neon orange. Oranges like this shade typically work best on deeper skin tones or tan people. However there are some exceptions since this is a warm toned lipstick. I love this lipstick and I think it’s definitely a summer must have!

Saved the best for last. Blow is described as deep cool toned teal, siding with both greens and blues. This newest addition to the Melt line is unlike anything else in the cosmetic field. I have never found something like this shade ever before. I love the creaminess of this lipstick and i’m glad that they purposely made it creamier. I love wearing this on colder nights as a deep lip with color.

IMATS LA 2014 Review

I’m now back from having yet another fabulous weekend attending the International Make up Artist Trade show (IMATS) for the third time around. This past weekend was filled with so many fun activities, I can hardly count! Prior to traveling down to Pasadena, California, my sister Chelsea and I were invited to the Crown Brush blogging event on Friday, January 17th. This was an exclusive event only for beauty bloggers, so we knew we had to go! Please see prior blog post if you want more information on the Crown Brush blogging event. This was a great event to get insight to all the new goodies that Crown Brush was coming out with as well as getting pumped for IMATS. Of course after our excitement, we ended our first night with none other than Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles and boy was it amazing as usual!

We arrived at day one of IMATS around 9/9:30am, and the line was…. uhh yeah, long. I feel that as I’ve been going to these events that more and more people are finding out about this and attending so that there are longer lines all together.  Now it wasn’t a horrible line, don’t get me wrong, my excitement kept me alright, but it was a line that you needed to drink caffeine in since it would get crazy once you go inside to the convention. You literally needed all the energy your body could muster to keep up with all the intense shopping.  On day one, it was just my sister, Lindy and I who went together but we definitely met up with more amazing people once inside.

Once inside, my top priority was Sugarpill. If you are not familiar with Sugarpill Cosmetics, you ought to be!! The last two years I’ve missed out on the Burning Heart palette, which is the last palette in the collection to thus be complete. I have to get the individual palettes because last year they decided to come out with the Pro palette, which I basically now have. I didn’t see the point in getting it since I already had over 2/3 of the palette when it was launched. Anyhow, I got my palette and then some other goodies from them which I am very happy with. I think I’m good on products from Sugarpill until they release the Sparkle Baby palette.

After Sugarpill Cosmetics, we hopped over to Anastacia to get our dip brows and contours kits. After those two booths, it was kinda a blur, haha. We literally ventured around the whole convention center, weighed our chances with some lines and some that had none! One booth that I was very surprised with was Inglot. On both Saturday and Sunday, all throughout the day, I never saw a line. Last year the line was ridiculous for Inglot on both days! Weird how that happens sometimes.

I’m glad these two ladies didn’t get to sick of me this past weekend. I was literally like a kid in candy land when I walk into IMATS. There is so many pretty products, I literally just want to swatch everything or just buy it haha! From Anastacia, we literally roamed around the convention center, stopping at booths we had interest in and getting our fan girl pictures with our beloved YouTube gurus. This year was some much more relaxed than last years in regards to meeting our favorite YouTube gurus. We literally had the luck of meeting some outside of the convention center, or ones who had no line,  or if they hadn’t been approached yet. This year luck was for sure on our side!

P1000442I’m pretty sure that I love Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics(OCC) almost as much as I love Sugarpill. The pigmentation, longevity and cruelty free aspects of both of these lines is definitely a positive for me.  I kinda went crazy with some liptars and the new cosmetic pencils. The pencils are not instructed for lip only, so you can also use them for eyes as well! The deals at this booth were ridiculous that it’s easy to understand why I went a little crazy here.

There were some essentials that I needed to pick up from this trade show, one of which was Inglot blushes. I’ve heard raving reviews and the colors are simply gorgeous that I knew I had to get my own freedom system palette. It was reasonably priced to have a four pan blush palette, palette included for less than $45. In comparison to other blush palettes the convention was offering, there might have been better deals but not of this high quality of pigment.

Lashes were a big thing for me at this IMATS. I’ve personally never been a big lash person just because I am already happy with my lash length and I don’t feel that I need to wear them regularly. However when I saw Nigel has $1 lashes, I couldn’t resist. I only agreed on purchasing ten pairs, which is only ten dollars which is justified to me.  I vividly remember this elderly woman across from me who was literally counting her stacks of lashes and counted well past 100! I was like dang, she is not playing around! I understand that good quality lashes and good styles are not cheap, so when you can find an abundance at a good price, why not go for it?

One brand that I was super interested in exploring this round at IMATS would definitely be Sauce Box Cosmetics. Their eye shadow pans are very similar in size to that of Sugarpill, so that’s what attracted me. Be on the lookout for my review on Sauce Box Cosmetics eye shadows soon! I only picked one four pan colorful palette from them since none of the larger pan palettes shades attracted my attention.  The live artistry that was performed at this booth throughout both days was remarkable. I gained a chance to meet very talented free lancers, some of which are actually native to where I’m from!

P1000595Um duh I had to hit up my favorite Crown Brush booth! The amount of superior quality brushes that Crown brush had been phenomenal as always! Definitely picked up some of my favorite eye brushes, especially the fluffy ones for the crease, along with some duo fiber stippling brushes and some synthetic face brushes. The quality of Crown Brush is unparalleled to most cosmetic lines with brushes.

Naked Cosmetics has been the one booth that I have always debated on year after year. I already have so many loose glitters and pigments, that I truly don’t need any more, not to mention a stack of them. However, Naked Cosmetics is a brand that is throughly raved about for being one of the best, if not the best, brand for A plus grade cosmetics glitters and loose pigments. I saw some pigment stacks that did attract my eye, but not enough for me to settle on. Hopefully next year will be the year for me and you Naked Cosmetics!

My co-workers also made it down for day two of IMATS, so I had to get some candid’s of us 😉 Watching them shop was too adorable because it literally reminded me of how I was my first year at IMATS. They were so eager to get everything they wanted, hated the lines and could not stop smiling. I know I can plan to see them again next year since they’re already excited and talking about 2015. I’m glad these girls got a taste of IMATS, and if they’re addicted, it’s not my fault!

Um did I forget to mention that I went to a ballin ass after party a couple blocks away from IMATS? This elite invite was in promotion of the new Wayne Goss brush set, which was on display and might I saw was luxurious. My sister, Lindy and I attended this after party on Saturday evening and engaged in amazing horderves, cocktails, and amazing cupcakes. As we connected with other amazing bloggers and attendees, you won’t believe who walked in. Jefree Star and Kandee Johnson, Charisma Star just to name a few!! We got to speak with them in private, talk about how amazing they are and literally get to have a through conversation with people not trying to take a milllion selfies with them! I cannot express how baller this after party was and I have no one other to thank than my sister! Thanks sis for always knowing the goodies!

Overall this has been yet another successful year at IMATS. I feel that as each year goes by, I learn more and more what the cosmetic field has to offer me. The drive that I have for keeping my kit up to date with the latest raved about products keeps me blogging, making Youtube videos and being overly obsessed with new products. I am thankful that I have a team down to go every year and laugh at my obsession over makeup and constantly state that I don’t need products they know I’m picking up.  Well until 2015 IMATS, I can’t  wait to see how you’re going to top this year!

IMATS LA 2014 & Crown Brush Blogging event!!

It is yet again time for the long-awaited make up trade show that every girl gossips non stop about. With this being my third year going, I am just as excited as I was the last two times. This year, the International Make up Artist Tradeshow (IMATS) is taking place on January 17-19th at the location as the previous years, at the Pasadena Convention Center.  Friday, the 17th is only open to pro card holders whereas both Saturday and Sunday are open to the public. If you are going Saturday, prepare yourself because the trade show is open from 8:30am till 5:00pm. Whereas on Sunday its 10:00am till 5:00pm, so gives you some more time in the morning to get ready.  I will be attending both days with my sister Chelsea and one of my girlfriends, Lindy. IMATS allows you to fully immerse yourself with cosmetic, skin care and cinema brands and schools, giving you an all out unique experience.  If you have a moment, you should check out all the brands that are attending this show because it’s a pretty lengthy list!

Did I forget to mention that all of our beloved make up gurus on Youtube are typically there?!?! If you’re looking to finally meet one of your favorite beauty bloggers or Youtube guru’s, IMATS is a great destination to do that at. My favorite is Lauren, also commonly known as Queen of Blending. I must say her make up in person is just as immaculate on how you see on Youtube or any other social media platform. I’m so glad that I’ve gotten to know her over the past two events and I am looking forward to seeing her again. Other notorious bloggers who will be at this event are Chrisspy, Makeup Geek (who has a booth!!), Nicole Guerrero, Start2finishmua, just to name a few!

Attention all beauty bloggers!!! I am helping promote this blogging event hosted by the one and only Crown Brush. This event is going to be taking place on January 17th from 3:00-5:00pm. This is a great event if you are a beauty blogger and you would like to gain the chance to attend an amazing event where you can connect with other bloggers who share the same passion and gain great new insight to products in the future for Crown Brush. If you would like to attend this event, please email the address that is listed in the picture above. I will be attending this event so I look forward to seeing and meeting any of my followers. Do not be shy, please approach me, I would love to get to know the audience that I am speaking to. Hopefully see you there or at IMATS!!!!

RiRi Hearts MAC Cosmetics collection review

I’ll have to admit, I finally gave in. I’ve never been the person to give in to the current hype over certain makeup products. However, this time is different. With being a fan of Rihanna from her early appearance, when I found out that she was coming out with a collection with MAC Cosmetics, I think I died a little bit.

In this collection of five, there are three retro matte lipsticks, one blush/bronzer duo and Luster drops. Soon after hearing the big news, I then heard of the first lipstick that she was going to pre-release from the first collection they made, which was none other than RiRi Woo. If you’re familiar with MAC Cosmetics, you must already know that they own a signature color called Ruby Woo, a classic matte red that everyone should have in their collection. Now there is RiRi Woo, a signature retro matte lipstick. RiRi Woo is described as a cool matte red, with a retro matte finish. It is a medium deep red with cool undertones. In comparison to Ruby Woo, there is a slight difference, the texture of the lipstick is somewhat stiffer and drier compared to the regular matte lipsticks. Another cool thing to note about this collection is that Rihanna’s signature is etched into all of her lipsticks. This lipstick gives full opaque coverage and its recommended to exfoliate, moisturize, blot your lips, line and then apply for overall satisfaction of this lipstick. This lipstick retails for $15.00 in the United States. Usually with MAC Collections, the signature of the ambassador is on the packaging of the product, not the product itself. So should you get it whether or not you own Ruby Woo? Initially it is up to you. If you like Rihanna and if you are a make up enthusiast such as myself, then yes, but other than that you will probably be better off without it.

Continuing along with the RiRi theme, the next lipstick that I picked up is RiRi Boy, my favorite item from this collection. RiRi Boy is described as a matte lavender lipstick. It’s a medium pink-purple retro matte finish lipstick. When I saw this lipstick online, I absolutely fell in love. I knew that I had to have this immediately. I’m so happy that it is accurately portrayed on the MAC website because it is exactly what I imagined it to be now that it’s in my hands. This lipstick gives full opaque coverage and its recommended to exfoliate, moisturize, blot your lips, line and then apply for overall satisfaction of this lipstick. This lipstick retails for $15.00 in the United States.

The last and final lipstick that is in the collection is Heaux. Heaux is a deep matte berry-red lipstick. This is a very deep color however it can be sheered out for lighter coverage. I like this lipstick a lot because it has both purple and red in it, but they do not over whelm one another.  If you’re going for a good deep berry lipstick, this would be worth while looking in to. This lipstick gives full opaque coverage and its recommended to exfoliate, moisturize, blot your lips, line and then apply for overall satisfaction of this lipstick. This lipstick retails for $15.00 in the United States.

Below are the swatches of all three lipsticks, with RiRi Boy being at the top, Heaux in the middle and RiRi Woo on the bottom.

The last product that I ended picking up from this collection is the bronzer and blush duo. Hibiscus Kiss is the name of RiRi’s chosen Satin finish bronzer and blush duo. With both products being of the same name, the bronzer ends up taking majority of this compact. While sometimes I thought why she didn’t split it half and half like most companies do, I can see now that the bronzer is the big issue in this duo. This is mostly a matte bronzer with some satin sheen to it, since it is a satin.  Hibiscus Kiss is described as a matte neutral bronze with medium yellow-orange undertones. This product retails for $26.00 and has build able coverage without looking to powdery. The other portion of this duo is Hibiscus blush, a soft coral pink with a sheen. I think this blush is a great fit for my personal usage, so when I saw that this was the paired blush, I was sold!!

004Thanks for checking out my review on Rihanna’s collection from MAC Cosmetics, hope you enjoyed!! Check out my First impressions video on this collection below!!

MAC Haul!

This haul is going to consist of two different visits to the Cosmetic Company Outlet. If you are not familiar with what a CCO is, it basically is a discounted make up that carries Estee Lauder brands such as MAC, Bobbie Brown, and even Smash box Cosmetics.  Not only do they carry makeup but also perfumes, all of which can be found at a discounted price. Upon my first visit to the CCO, I picked up a total of 6 items, three lipsticks, a lip liner, a blush and a pigment set. Upon my second visit I picked up two other lipsticks and a transparent setting powder. As you can tell, the second trip was not as difficult as the first, as in I didn’t purchase that many items. So overall, picked up five lipsticks  a lip liner, a blush, a set of pigments and a setting powder. All of these products are new to me, as in I have never purchased them before. Therefore this review is based on my initial impression of the products.

The first lipstick that I picked up is from the Ruffian collection, called Ruffian Red. This is a blue-based red lipstick that is somewhat bright. This is a matte lipstick, so when planning to wear this color, hydrate like crazy before hand, as well as exfoliating. When applying, color glides on smoothly with little effort and provides full opaque color to the lips. I will always wear any red lipstick with a lip liner before hand so that the color does not bleed and looks good.

Following in the same collection, the second lipstick I picked up is Ruffian Naked. Ruffian Naked is a rosy beige matte lipstick. When applying, color glides on smoothly with little effort and provides full opaque color to the lips. Because this is a nude, it can easily highlight the lines in your lips so its good to exfoliate and moisturize before applying this.  I’m loving nudes currently now that summer is coming up. This is a great lipstick that can be pared with any kind of eye or cheek look.

From the Marilyn Monroe collection, Holiday 2012, I picked up my third lipstick in Pure Zen. Pure Zen is a lightly frosted warm nude color that is a cremesheen. This is a re-promoted lipstick color, therefore it is not the first time it is being introduced to MAC. When applying, color glides on smoothly with little effort and provides full opaqueness to the lips. Packaging is cute, having the classic pin up of Marilyn on the product as well as her signature.

As my fourth, I picked up my first pro longwear lisptick in Dress it up. Dress it up is from the MAC Style drive collection. This collection came out with a total of six different lipsticks.  This lipstick is a blue based pink that has a creamy finish. In regards to coverage, this lipstick gives a semi- opaqueness to the lips.  The packaging of this lipstick differs from the typical MAC lipsticks as it is slender and has an easy closing mechanism which is helpful, it literally snaps close.

Now for a pop of color. The last lipstick that I chose to pick up is the MAC lustre lipstick in Razzle Dazzle. This lipstick is from the Asia Pacific region of the collection. This lipstick is a soft coral/peach color with a soft sheen. This lipstick was limited edition so I’m happy that I got my hands on it. It gives off a semi-opaque coverage to the lips. This is such a great lipstick to add my collection since I’m feeling the softer colors for lips at the moment.

Following along with lip products, I picked up my first official MAC Lip liner in Plum. This pencil is meant to line, shape and fill in your lips, initially giving any lipstick you layer over it with more longevity.  These lip liners are long-lasting and come in a variety of shades, most of which are matte. With that being said, these lip liners can be somewhat drying to the lips therefore it is recommended to prep your lips before hand with an intensive moisturizer. Plum tends to side more with the brown family then plum. While I was hoping it was have a touch more purple in it, hence the name Plum, I’m not disappointed with this lip liner. This lip liner pairs great with purple or deep color lipsticks.

With never previously owning a MAC pigment, I saw this crushed pigment collection and thought it would prove useful in my collection. This is the MAC Smoky Berry Crushed Metallic pigment set. Above are swatches of these pigments without and base and applied dry. It is highly recommended to use a base with this product along with some type of glitter/pigment adhesive.  The colors are as follows from left to right in the swatch above, Roasted Chestnut, Spicy smoke, Rose light and Pearl.  Roasted Chestnut is a dark chocolate-brown with shimmer. Spicy Smoke is an orange-red with a shimmer. Rose light is a soft rose-pink with metallic shimmer. Pearl is a true frosted white. These colors pair great with my blue eyes!

A soft lavender blush is what Full of Joy from MAC is. This blush is lavender with a frost finish, but the finish is very soft, not super frosty. There is definitely a blue undertone with satin sheen in it.  There is good color pigmentation in this blush and it is definitely build able.  In regards to the product, when dipping your brush in the pan, you get a good amount of powdery residue left over, therefore always tap off your brush before using.

MAC Translucent finishing powder

The last item that I picked up is from MAC’s prep and prime collection. I have always been interested in their setting powders, so I am happy that I can finally try out a nice translucent/transparent finishing powder from them. This product is advised to be used to set foundation or to be used on bare moisturized skin to give a more flawless finish and look to the skin. Because this is a white powder, we all know that we are all scared if this product will give your skin that white cast if you happen to take any flash photography. I haven’t experienced the white cast in my own usage, but I can understand if you use to much of this product you could create that.

Thanks so much for reading and see you guys next time!
